Job Posting: Grassroots U5-U9 Coordinator
Organization: RC United Soccer Club
Location: Hunter River and Cornwall
Rate: $20.00/hour
Position Overview:
Ramblers and Clippers Soccer is seeking a passionate and organized individual to join our team as the Grassroots U5-U9 Coordinator. This key role is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of grassroots soccer programs, supporting young players, and assisting with club-wide initiatives and events.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop engaging videos for the Ramblers/Clippers Facebook page to foster community engagement.
Club Operations:
Attend RC United meetings, when required, to contribute to club operations and remain informed.
Tryouts Management:
- Create neutral assessor sheets for U9-U18 age groups with assigned player numbers.
- Input player assessment data post-tryouts and distribute to coaches/assessors.
- Assist with tryout sessions, including organizing equipment (e.g., balls, pinnies) and serving as a neutral assessor when needed.
Tournament Organization:
Assist in coordinating Clippers and Ramblers tournaments, including schedule creation, score updates, clubhouse maintenance, and more.
Grassroots Program (U5-U9):
- Act as the liaison between Grassroots leads, coaches, and the board.
- Provide clear feedback, role definitions, and a curriculum of drills for coaches
- Oversee logistics such as organizing nets, jerseys, and session equipment.
- Coordinate cancellations with the Executive Coordinator and manage the U9 refereeing schedule for home games.
- Plan and execute the U9 Ramblers Jamboree, including scheduling, field setup, and organizing player rewards like bouncy castles.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Recruit Grassroots coaches and volunteers.
- Line fields, move benches, and ensure games and sessions run smoothly.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in soccer and passion for youth player development.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with multiple people.
