Rate: $16.50/hour +
Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual for the position of Field/Building Maintenance. This role is essential for ensuring that the soccer fields and facilities are in excellent condition for the upcoming season. The successful candidate will contribute to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for players, coaches, and spectators. The position requires working effectively with volunteers and reporting to the Field Coordinator while following the maintenance schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Maintenance:
Maintain the soccer fields by checking and replacing corner flags as needed.
Order supplies when required and ensure adequate stock for field maintenance.
Fix any broken netting and move benches as necessary.
Pick up and dispose of any garbage on the fields.
Line the fields for games and practices, ensuring proper markings.
Perform regular general field maintenance tasks as needed.
Grass Cutting:
Regularly mow and maintain the grass on the soccer fields to ensure a well-groomed and safe playing surface.
Field Preparation:
Prepare the fields for the upcoming season, including ensuring the fields are properly marked and lined.
Check and repair any damaged areas or issues on the fields.
Set up necessary equipment and infrastructure for the season.
Maintain and put up field signs as required.
Monitor and operate the irrigation system, turning it on/off as needed.
Building Maintenance:
Assist with the upkeep and cleanliness of the club’s buildings and facilities, including the clubhouse and storage areas.
Ensure that all facilities are safe, clean, and ready for use.
Qualifications:
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of field and building maintenance.
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, mowing, and handling maintenance equipment.
Must be trained or willing to be trained in using a large motorized lawn mower.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with volunteers.
Previous experience in maintenance or similar roles is an asset, but not required.
