RC United Youth Divisions

Registration Page - Summer Soccer Season

Register here if you are a youth age player within the RC United district for the summer soccer season.

A mini-player or first-year youth player (U5, U7, U9 or U11) player residing within the Cornwall/ Hunter River district may register with either Eliot River or Central Queens, ideally the one closest to their home via that club's website.

If they register with another club outside the district, please remember that once a player has played their first season of youth soccer at Under 11, the player is then bound to that club for the remainder of their youth up to and including Under 18. After having played the first year of youth soccer, a player wishing to move to another club outside our district must request a transfer.

Registration will open in early March

RC United Youth League Soccer ( U13, U15, U18)

Registration for the 2024 Summer Soccer season will be open in March

Tryouts will be scheduled to start in April on the Terry Fox Turf in Cornwall. Sorting for first/ second division teams will follow premier team announcements. Pre-registration will be required and there will be a small fee to cover turf costs.

U13 Summer Program (Players born 2011 to 2012)

Development Emphasis: Game awareness, individual skill development and athleticism within a competitive league environment.

Genders: Separate female and male teams.

Season Length:  mid April to early September depending on the team and tryouts.

Game Day: Game nights

Divisions: U13 - Premier, First and Second

Leadership: Each team has a head coach and manager as well as possibly an assistant coach. Coaches are required to have all their Quality Soccer Standard certifications and criminal record check. (see coaching requirements tab)  The Manager will handle any scheduling issues, will make a schedule for field marshalls, handle tournament fees and registration. Game sheets are used in U13 and must be submitted to Soccer PEI as game stats are posted and there will be provincials held at the end of the year.

Overview: Tryouts in April will lead to placement either on Premier, Div 1 or Div 2 team. That team practices at least once per week and plays once per week throughout June, July and early August. Games would take place in Hunter River as well as various locations across PEI. In mid to late August, playoffs occur at each division level with championship games usually taking place the last weekend of August or first weekend of September. At this point players are club tied. Meaning they will not be able to register with another club without being released from their home club.

Tryouts/Sorting: Once registration has finished tryouts will begin.  Players must be registered to participate in tryouts.  Tryouts/ Spring training usually have a fee attached to pay for turf time as they are usually scheduled at the end of April as grass fields are not ready for players yet.  Tryouts may be performed by our Technical Director but are usually done by coaches that have applied and been approved to coach.

For most clubs if they have a few players that can play at the Premier level they will put in a Premier level team.  After tryouts are completed coaches are assigned to the other teams.  If no coach comes forward, parents must find a coach. Once tryouts are complete, the roster is submitted to Soccer PEI so they can schedule games.  U13 teams play other teams from across PEI and scheduling and referee assignment is done by Soccer PEI.  The game schedule will be posted on Soccer PEI's website.

Provided: jersey

Requirements: Purchase and wear black shorts and black socks. Shinpads covered by soccer socks. Cleats. No jewelry or wearable devices (with the exception of medical). Bring a personalized water bottle that is not to be shared with other players.

Fee:  $225
